Locally grown flower bouquets and floral displays.

Hello, my name is Jo and I grow seasonal, scented, English flowers in South Oxfordshire. My flower season runs from March until October, weather permitting. The flowers I grow are seasonal and you will receive flowers that are at their best in the garden that day.​ I will have a stall selling my daily freshly cut flowers, conditioned, arranged and ready for you to enjoy. I grow my flowers organically, and all packaging that will be used for the bouquets and floral displays will be biodegradable/compostable or recyclable materials.

My stall will be sighted (March- October) in the car park in East Hanney, Wantage every Sunday 10 am-2pm, and some Saturdays depending on local events

I am a flower farmer that believes that my customers deserve not only beautiful blooms but beautiful scent. I have for many years been dismayed at the flower market in the UK, be it a florist, supermarket or garden centre who mainly buy in from abroad. Yes they are very pretty, but not a scent to be had. What is the first thing you do when you see a beautiful flower, bouquet or plant. You bend in and inhale, expecting to receive the stunning scent to match the eye. But alas, it is hardly ever there. Also, we have some stunning flowers in the UK, and you will not see these in the supermarkets as they do not travel well. 

Did you know that over 90% of cut flowers sold in the UK are imported. Nearly all, up until recently from Holland. Now also from Kenya, Columbia, Ethiopia and Ecuador. That journey from being cut until they hit the UK supermarkets, florists, garden centres, markets etc means they have been pumped full of preserving chemicals, pesticides and semi frozen for transportation. to me that is crazy, when the UK has so many stunning flowers, bulbs, shrubs and foliage, some with beautiful scent. Why would we encourage such a heavy carbon footprint by buying flowers from abroad.
